A report in Bloomberg News says Amazon is set to add a third party battery pack to the Echo, a device that lets you control your Amazon devices remotely.
Bloomberg reported that Amazon has hired engineers from Intel and Qualcomm to develop a “remote controller” that can “control the remote voice control of Alexa devices.”
Bloomberg said Amazon has begun testing a third-party Alexa controller with the Echo.
The company also said it is developing “new, powerful devices that can act as personal assistants for people in real-time.”
Amazon’s Alexa has been criticized for its lack of security and privacy controls.
